What happens if you spray a human with bear spray?

Let us clarify this, pepper spray and bear spray are the same thing, Oleoresin-Capsicum (OC) is the main compound in both of them.

The only difference is the label on the product and a variance in the percentage of (OC) in both of them. Most pepper spray products have a higher percentage of OC than bear spray.

The lower concentration of bear spray doesn’t mean that the product is at a lower strength, the burning sensation could give the same sensation, just the difference is that a lower percentage of OC means a shorter decontamination time.

We believe the main reason for this differentiation is due to the wildlife protection act that bear one is at a lower percentage than pepper spray.
